(1) Ozone sterilizers Ozone sterilizers use the strong oxidizing power of ozone to achieve sterilization. Ozone is a strong oxygen agent, and its bactericidal effect is 15∽30 times higher than that of chlorine. At a certain concentration, it acts for 5∽10min, and ozone can reach the degree of sterilization for various fungi. It has been widely used in water disinfection in foreign countries for deodorization, color removal, etc., and it is also very common in China for the application of sterilization in the production of mineral water and pure water.
(2) Ultraviolet sterilizers When microorganisms are exposed to ultraviolet light, proteins and nucleic acids of microorganisms absorb ultraviolet spectral energy, causing protein denaturation and death of microorganisms. UV light has a certain penetrating power for clean and transparent water, so it can disinfect water. UV sterilization can not change the physical and chemical properties of water, fast sterilization, high efficiency, no odor, so it has been widely used.
